Featured Draft Beers

Released on the 4th of July, Freedom is our all-American IPA. Big and bold, it’s all about the hops, and we use a lot of hops in every stage of the brewing process, starting with the mash and lautering, all the way through to dry-hopping.

For bittering, we use Summit hops but for aroma, we go to a blend of Chinook, Horizon, and Centennial, with an emphasis on the Chinook. Less often used by west coast brewers, Chinook gives Freedom a big citrus flavor without the grapefruit bite – more of a tangerine taste.

In the final flavor profile, Summit hops give us a nicely bitter base for the Chinook, Horizon, and Centennial to play off of and, as they play, they offer up a range of aromas. On the malt side, we dial things back to get just enough sweetness for balance, creating a hop-forward beer with plenty of complexity. – See more at:

Greenville Pale Ale is a traditional, American-style Pale Ale that is rooted in the Pacific Northwest brewing tradition. We use whole flower Cascade hops and American two-row barley malt to produce a light amber ale that is medium bodied with a significant floral-citrus hop essence and aroma that makes it extremely drinkable and refreshing. One of our brewers said “You should name a beer after the town it’s brewed in.” So we did. This is our signature brew. Greenville Pale Ale represents both our local roots in Greenville, Delaware and our interest in “green” technology for the future. See more at:

Named for the huntsman who roams the forests of Nelson County, Pumpkin Hunter brings Devils Backbone’s typical balance to a pumpkin ale. Brewmaster Jason Oliver designed the flavors to layer like liquid pumpkin pie. The malts impart a graham cracker pie crust character around a rich, subtly sweet pumpkin and spice body. It’s the ultimate comfort beer! See more at:
